Entrepreneurship is a media and political fad that can lead to a mixture of ideas. It is sometimes used in surprising adjectival forms. The expression " entrepreneurial strategy " seems nevertheless particularly pertinent, as shown in scientific reviews where special issues are dedicated to the subject. These articles nevertheless make ambiguous comments as to the integration of entrepreneurship with strategic management. This work is addressing these particular problems and aims to clarify the entrepreneurship domain
Thierry
Verstraete is Doctor of Management and Administrative Science and holds an
accreditation to supervise research obtained
at the Institute of Business Administration (Institut d'Administration des
Entreprises), Lille University of Sciences and Technology (USTL). He is
now Senior Lecturer at the
Montesquieu University of Bordeaux IV, and director of the ADREG
(http: //www.adreg.net),
part of the CLAREE Research Laboratory : ESA CNRS (French National
Center for Scientific Research) 8020. He works also now at the
IFREGE.
Before
his academic career, the author ran several companies. Vice-president of
two scientific associations, the Academy of Entrepreneurship (Academie
de l’Entrepreneuriat) and the International Association of Research
on Entrepreneurship and Small Business (Association Internationale
de Recherche sur la PME et l’Entrepreneuriat), he dedicates his
research and teaching works to entrepreneurship.
